quatro fitness customer service rant

if the site said dvd-r that would be fine
I was kind of bummed about the poor photocopy of the pretty cover on the site.

when I wrote them to mention this I got :
The DVDs are not DVD-R. Where are you
getting this information. And, if they were
DVD-R that would be okay.

There is nothing wrong with DVD-R. However,
the DVDs you received from me are NOT DVD-R.

You are free to return the DVDs. It is suggested
that you return them with delivery confirmation
to verify that they have been received.

You are then free to shop for higher priced DVDs
with a pretty cover, less bonuses and free workouts.
But you will end up with the same exact content.

Bootleg means "an unauthorized audio or video recording."

We are authorized resellers. We paid several hundred dollars
for the right to reproduce the DVDs for resell.

Again, you are free to return the DVDs. You will be refunded
the full amount minus our $5.25 cost to ship them to you.

Thank you and create a great day.

he/she/they LIED right out!!!!!
these disks are marked Memorex LightScribe DVD-R right on the disk

GAH!!!!!

Again, no one lied to you. They are not
DVD-R. Where are you getting that information?
Wherever you are getting it, it is 100% incorrect.

Plus, please read up on DVD formats.
http://www.webopedia.com/DidYouKnow/...sExplained.asp

Somebody with a lack of knowledge about DVDs
is misleading a lot of people like yourself.

Please send me the delivery confirmation information
once they are mailed.

You are free to keep the bonuses but the free
workout site password will be changed.

Can I trust you not to copy them before you
return them? It's not a matter of whether you
can trust me but can I trust you. You are too
eager to return something you state are excellent.
That means you have viewed the product and
possibly used it. Therefore, it is no longer brand
new.

Nora, you may want to use a magnifying glass
to view the DVD. The DVDs are not a DVD-R.

Please educate me on why you are having
a problem with DVD-R (although my DVDs are
not DVD-R). I don't understand your issue
with DVD-R. Please explain.

Nora, also it has been determined by the
100s of DVDs already sold that the DVDs
contain the content that was promised
to you. Therefore, we are not willing to
make any refund to you since you have
viewed the DVDs.

However, you are free to give the DVDs
to a friend or someone else that will be
grateful.

Thank you for your business and enjoy
the DVDs and bonuses.

Translation

Here is what I read: "Nora, you are basically stupid. EVERYBODY else who bought this had no problem. I personally do not trust you, think you are lying as well as too dumb to figure out anything. Get Lost!"

This kind of customer "service" is so outrageous that my blood boils just thinking about it. Nora, keep putting the word out. These people do not deserve your business, or anyone else's.

And, another thing

The more I think about how these people treated you, the more furious I am. You should track down the name of the President or Owner. If they are not aware of the attitude of their customer insulting employees, they should be, and, if it starts at the top, we should all be advised.

The irony of this is that your experience drove me to the website so I could see what you had ordered, and the program looks really good. Of course, I would sit on the couch for the rest of my life before I would exercise with these people.

Good luck. Let us know what happens.

Wow, what jerks!! Is this from that "elitetrainersusa" website? You may want to contact Ryan Lee, who created those DVDs and runs the workoutpass.com website. I would hope he doesn't want his distributors to treat customers so badly.

Who or what site did you order from? That is really outrageous. I'm wondering if it's the same site that I ordered from. I wonder if they really are authorized to sell or if they are just bootleg copies.

As far as I know, ALL the Quatro Fitness DVDs that have been sold are DVD-Rs. Whether any of them are bootlegs is another story, but DVD-R is the format used by the company that manufactures and and distributes them for Quatro Fitness. The same company (I can't remember/find the name, but I think it's in Utah) did David Whitley's DVD(-R) and the DVD(-R)s for Tactical Athlete (Jeff and Maureen Martone). The instructors/sellers refer to them as DVDs, but they're purple, and the "Get Info" feature on my Mac says they're all DVD-Rs.
